CASA DOLCE CASA
Ecco la casa in cui ho abitato in questi mesi: una ex ambasciata dell'Est...sembra sia stata quella dell'Iraq!
I have been living in this beautiful house since April...It was and ex-embassy of the East side of Berlin. Looks like it was the Iraq one!

STARK IS OVER!

Dopo tante fatiche é arrivata la tanto agoniata fiera! Quattro giorni super intensi, un party di apertura riuscitissimo per inaugurare questa nuova fiera che vede protagonisti la moda, le avanguardie creative e l'arte! Bilancio finale a metá tra il positivo e il negativo: tante le soddisfazioni ma tante anche le carenze a livello organizzativo! La prossima sará senza dubbio migliore :-) Non so ancora se saró qui...Ci sono alcuni punti che devo definire...per ora penso a godermi le meritate vacanze!!!!

I was finally at STARK last week end: the fair started on Friday with an amazing opening party and ended on Monday. I'm quite happy and proud of the job I've done but I'm aware that there are a lot of points to fix for the next edition! I don't know yet if I'll part of the team but I hope so!

WINGS OF DESIRE

Ho scalato uno dei simboli di Berlino, la Siegessäule (colonna della vittoria), che troneggia nel mezzo di Tiergarten. É stata dura ma dopo quasi 300 scalini di un'angusta scala a chiocciola, senza finestre, sono arrivata alla base della dea della Vittoria. Da lí chi non soffre di vertigini puó godere di una splendida vista di Berlino! La statuta é presente in una delle scene principali del bellissimo film "wings of Berlin" (il cielo sopra Berlino - 1987) che consiglio caldamente a tutti!Uno degli attori protagonisti é il mitico tenente Colombo che interpreta se stesso!

I finally found the time and the energie to climb one of the Berliner symbol: the Siegessäule, in the middle of Tiergarden. It represents the Victory goddess and it was biuldt to celebrate the Prussians occupancy.

It's also a shot in the amazing film "Wings of desire", which show the lifestyle in Berlin in the 80s.

Ieri migliaia di persone si sono riversate nelle strade di Berlino per celebrare la "Fete de la Musique", nata a Parigi il 21 giugno 1982 e diffusa poi in altre cittá! Gli eventi erano sparpagliati per tutta la cittá, iniziati la mattina fino ad open end. Musica e gente per tutti i gusti!
Yesterday Berlino celébrated the "Fete de la Musique", a musical festival born in Paris in 1982. Streets were packed with all sorts of people listening and dancing any kind of music, from electro to punk, throught rock!

PR AT PITTI - FIRENZE

Lunedí ho prenotato l'aereo e mercoledí ero al Pitti per promuovere STARK!

Public relations con tutti, dai Simpson a Lapo Elkann!

Last Wednesday I flyed to Florence to promote STARK at Pitti fashion trade show!

I met The Simpson and I hope they will join my fair too ;-p

NIGHTLIFE

Oltre ad essere la capitale di artisti e creativi, Berlino é conosciuta anche per la brulicante vita notturna! La cittá infatti vanta un gran numero di "club", o meglio, luoghi in cui la musica fa ballare la gente giorno e notte ininterrottamente!!! A volte capita che la festa inizi in un club la sera e prosegua la domenica pomeriggio in mezzo ad un bosco o un prato, dove il popolo della notte si ritrova a ballare in mezzo a gruppi di famiglie e bambini! Il "codice della notte" riferisce addirittura che i berlinesi piú cool dormono il sabato sera ed escono invece alle sei della domenica mattina per andare a ballare!
La musica in voga é l'elettronica e la techno...Ho scoperto una nuova promessa della scena dance berlinese, un certo Alexander Marcus...super trash ma qui dicono che si ballerá presto nei club...arrrgh!!!!!!

Berlin is famous also for the beating nightlife! Most of the clubs are open 24h a day, all the weekend! Sometimes people start dancing in a club at night and they end the day after in a lawn in the sunshine, among happy families and children! Berliners love Electroninc and techno msic! I discovered also an upcoming dance-music trend, played by a new "artist". His name is Alexander Marcus and you can check out his song "papaya" on Youtube:

HARD WORKER

In questi giorni si lavora tantissimo...la fiera é solo tra 2 mesi e ci stiamo occupando di tutti gli aspetti dell'organizzazione: ricerca e contatti con gli espositori (di cui sono la responsabile!), buyer, stampa, organizzazione eventi, studio grafico di cataloghi e sito...Un paio di volte al mese ci fa visita il grande capo, re di tutta l'organizzazione, cosí le riunioni si prolungano anche fino all'una di notte...nella foto la testimonianza degli effetti devastanti di questi meeting!!!

The date of the fair is shortly coming so we have a lot of job to do! I'm officially the Exhibitors Organizer, an important role, but together with the team I have also to take care about all the aspects of the organization: exhibitors, buyers, events plan, graphic design of brochures and web site! Twice a month the big boss, main chef of all the organization, comes to visit us in the office so the meetings might last also till 1 am!!!! (have a look on the pictures to see the results!)
