LIFE IN BERLIN

In queste prime settimane a Berlino sto lavorando un sacco ma mi riservo il week end per fare vita da turista! Oltre ai monumenti ho visitato anche un sacco di mercatini, quasi tutti di antiquariato, cianfrusaglie e vestiti...ce ne sono davvero tantissimi, e tra la tanta spazzatura si riesce a fare anche qualche buon affare ;-)

La citta' e' enorme e "diluita", nel senso che non c'e' un centro vero e proprio ma tante realta' e quartieri con vita propria. La parte piu' storica e' comunque quella del Mitte, ricca di musei e cattedrali. Nonstante siano passati degli anni dalla caduta del muro si avverte ancora una forte differenza tra est ed ovest: piu' alternativo ed informale il primo, piu' europeo e ricco di boutique e centri commerciali il secondo.

I'm working really hard this time but during the week I turn to tourist visiting as much as possible! Berlin is huge and it hasn't a proper centre...there are a lot of neightborhoods animated by own life and there is still a big difference between East and West: the first one is alternative while the second one is more "Eupean" , filled with design shops!

L'UFFICIO

Lavoro nell'agenzia di moda piu' famosa di Berlino, la KLAUSER. La sede e' un edificio immenso di mattoni e il nostro ufficio e' un mega loft all'ultimo piano, interamente circondato da vetrate! I ritmi di lavoro sono abbastanza intensi: dobbiamo risistemare l'elenco espositori, buyer e giornalisti e contattare tutti prima telefonicamente poi via mail..liste infinite!!!!!

THE OFFICE

I'm working at Klauser, the biggest fashion agencie in Berlin. The office is amazing: 5th floor sorrounded by glass windows! The job is quite hard at the moment because we have to update the list of expositors, buyer and journalists then call everybody to invite them to the next fashion event in July!

12/04/08 INIZIA UNA NUOVA AVVENTURA

Eccomi a Berlino...ho passato due giorni ad impacchettare la mia stanza a Londra e ieri sera sono atterrata sommersa di valigie! La mia missione qui sarà quella di aiutare un mio amico stilista ad organizzare la prossima fashion week di luglio! Siamo un team di 4 persone e vivremo/ lavoreremo insieme per i prossimi quattro mesi! Lasciare Londra non è stato facile: proprio ora che mi ero ambientata e avevo trovato amici e una nuova "famiglia". Ma il progetto Berlino sembra davvero una grande opportunità per cui..eccomi qui, nuovamente in "Europa"! Strano riabituarsi alla guida a destra, agli euro e alle prese della corrente a due entrate!
MY NEW LIFE STARTS IN BERLIN!
Yesterday I landed to the Germany city and I'll be living here for the next 4 months! It was hard leaving London right now: I left there good friends and lovely flatmates...But I hope to come back soon to visit them! Here in Berlin I'll be part of a team which is in charge to organize the next July fashion week: sounds really exciting!
